In a solemn atmosphere, in the presence of supporters, colleagues, and friends, the Military Academy celebrated its 28th anniversary on June 14, 2023. The ceremony took place near the Dean's Office of the Military Academy, in the "Goce Delcev" Barracks in Skopje, in the presence of high representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces, and other numerous partner institutions. At the very beginning, the Dean greeted those present, reflecting on the most important achievements and successes of the institution, elaborating on the contribution of all stakeholders in the Academy since its establishment. In this context, the Dean expressed special gratitude to former employees, including professors, deans, administrative staff, and others, for their role in laying the foundations of this important institution, unique in character in our country.
The Military Academy, the only military higher education institution in the country, represents a temple of knowledge and education where cadets, students, and officers are shaped – future leaders and strategists. On the occasion of the Day of the Military Academy, the regional dimension of the Academy was also emphasized, which provides an opportunity to build friendships and bridges between officers and leaders in the region through the education it provides to cadets and students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Montenegro.
On the other hand, the teaching staff of the Military Academy, in conjunction with the NATO DEEP program for the advancement of education, invests efforts and expertise in building the capacities of military education in partner countries of NATO. Through these projects, the Academy has the opportunity to share its successful model of education, upbringing, and training and to reaffirm its influence in the region and beyond in the international context.
On the occasion of the celebration of the 28th anniversary of the founding of the Military Academy, Deputy Minister of Defense, Tiron Jajaga, highlighted several strong aspects of the Military Academy in his speech, emphasizing the acknowledgments of the quality of education that position our Academy as a leader in the region and beyond. Among other things, he also emphasized the commitment of the Ministry of Defense to further develop the Academy and support initiatives for its modernization and the pursuit of excellence.
