Sosyal Etki Derneği was established in 2019. The activities of the association previously continued its activities as the “Youth Up” youth group. The focus of the project activities is on young people at risk of social exclusion. The association struggles for the inclusion of young people in society by providing them with social, cultural and digital skills before they become marginalized. They have partnered with 12 KA1 and 1 KA2 projects in which different tools are used for young people in this category. It has so far enabled around 100 young people at risk of social exclusion to benefit from European opportunities, contributing to the adoption of European values and the realization of Europe’s inclusive goal.
Our association consists of a total of 18 founding members. There are no paid employees in the association. All our activities are carried out on a voluntary basis. We carry out activities towards the objectives of 21st century qualifications, Lifelong 8 basic competence areas, DigCom 2.1, the European Green Deal, the European Digital Education Plan, and the European Youth Strategy. We enabled our association members and almost 100 young people to benefit from European opportunities. During the Covis-19 pandemic process, we closely observe the negative impact of rapid changes in the social and labor market on youth. It is decisive that young graduates from different fields of universities have skills related to innovations in the digital field in order to adapt to the labor market. With this project, our organizational capacity will be further strengthened. We expect to achieve results that will support young people’s adaptation to the labor market.
